Programming Lab

Students create music, visual designs, games and useful apps they can explain and improve.
Current courses · Teacher-led or Self-paced
Each course has five lessons: Teacher-led is 5 live lessons, 1 hour each; Self-paced is 5 lessons, about 1 hour 45 minutes of teaching in total, at each student's own pace. Recommended for ages 12+, subject to readiness and platform age/account rules. Live dates, educators, places and pricing are confirmed before enrollment.
Share: present the result and explain the decisions made, following permissions and platform rules.

Students bring the intention, check the output and explain their choices. We emphasize privacy, originality, respectful content and following school rules. Account access must meet each tool’s age requirements. Public sharing of student work requires appropriate permission.
Each course lists its own age guidance.
Students bring curiosity and ideas — we guide them through the technology.
Each course introduces the tools and creative process step by step. Everyday digital confidence is enough to get started, and the focus is much more on each student’s ideas, creativity, problem-solving and what they want to build than on being a technology expert.
Ideas matter more than technical experience.
Absolutely — that’s a big part of the experience.
Students bring their interests, hobbies, stories, problems or ideas into the course. A student might create music inspired by something they love, design an imagined world, or build a game or application around a personal interest.
We provide the structure and tools. Students bring the idea and make it their own.
Each course page lists its specific projects and outcomes. Music Studio includes 14 AI-assisted songs; Graphic Design Creative Space includes 50+ artworks and design outputs; Programming Lab includes 5+ games and useful applications.
These totals include guided activities, experiments, generated options and refined versions where stated. Not every output is a finished portfolio piece. What matters is what each student creates, understands, explains and improves.
Less technology. More creativity, thinking and outcomes.
A laptop or desktop gives the best overall experience, especially for programming and larger creative projects. Tablets and mobile devices can support watching lessons and completing suitable activities where the course tools allow them. A computer is recommended for creating and testing projects.
Students need a stable internet connection and a current browser. A mouse can make creative and programming activities easier; headphones are recommended for Music Studio and may help with other activities.
Check the individual course page for the exact device, software, account, platform-age and paid-feature requirements. Ask a parent or guardian for help with account setup where needed.
Missed a live lesson? A parent or guardian can contact us as soon as possible and say which session was missed. We’ll help the student catch up by sharing the relevant lesson information, learning materials and available course resources.
Live sessions are never recorded. A missed session is not automatically repeated.
Self-paced recorded courses let each student learn at their own pace. Free bonus: 10 days of email support from when course access opens.
Students are encouraged to save and build on the work they create. Where the course technology allows it, work can be downloaded or exported for personal projects and portfolios.
Sharing, publication and commercial-use rights may depend on the AI platform, software, content licenses and account plan. Check the relevant requirements before publishing or using the work commercially, and be clear about where AI helped.
Keep unnecessary personal information out of public work. Students follow their school’s requirements where applicable, with a parent, caregiver or teacher involved for anyone under 18. NextRising AI will seek appropriate permission before publicly showcasing identifiable student work.
Students explore music, design or programming and choose a project direction that excites them. Parents, caregivers and teachers can explore the program and inquire on a student’s behalf.
For parents, guardians and teachers: share the program of interest, the student’s age range (optional), country or timezone, and goals.
